PonicPods - Features

All PonicPod Units, whether standard or custom size, include the features listed below. Additional costs may be incurred if further customization and assembly is required. Please review the full specs or call if you have any questions!

Exterior and Interior Coverings

  • Fiberglass Laminate - with phenolic
  • 95% Reflective and UV stable
  • Very durable, strong, and non-toxic
  • Seam-sealed Panels – internal back spline panel secured in place
  • Magnesium Oxide is a "ready-to-finish" panel. No need for Exterior Vapor Barrier or Interior Sheeting.
  • Using fireproof healthy magnesium oxide panels

Roof and Wall Structure (3.5")

  • EPS Foam and Light Gauge Steel
  • Vertical Structure – attachment of wall panels to floor and roof panels with “U” channels, placed interior to panel to eliminate exposure to elements

Floor Structure (4.0")

  • EPS Foam and Light Gauge Steel
  • Additional Support Floor System – provided by steel stringers, encapsulated inside panels

Flat Roof

  • Solar Panel Support – spray coated to ensure complete seal. We recommend a Polyurea roof coating. Is is a spray applied two part plastic component that is very UV stable, has no VOC's and can be delivered in any color including automotive colors. This will be a 50 year + roof that will help seal the building. Product was used with success on the Miami Airport Roofs and has lasted for may years.

Interior Features

  • Conduit connecting two, four receptacle boxes in each long wall running 16" from floor (with two boxes) and 16" from ceiling (with two boxes). All runs terminating near door for breaker box installation.
  • Two Drains - stainless steel
  • Four 12” ventilation fans - two placed 12” from ceiling and two placed 12” from the floor with a modern fan controller that allows you to fine tune your exhaust system.

Finishes

  • Fiberglass Door (36”x84”) – hardware powder coated to prevent oxidation
  • Interior Walls – painted with 95% reflective white paint, exterior is factory finish
  • Additional Option for Flooring** – ventilated concrete slab (call for pricing)
  • Complete pre-assembly of the buildings can be provided as an option for an additional cost of $8.00 per square foot of the floor of the building.
  • Water Resistant - no structural change after 25 freeze thaw cycles performed over 36-months. If Magnesium Oxide does absorb water; in a flood situation it remains unaltered.
  • Insect resistant - termites & carpenter ants are unable to survive on or in the panel. Silica free, no VOC's in the glues used to manufacture the panels.
